[ Daan van Eijndhoven, 1969, Oisterwijk, The Netherlands ]
[ Liked taking snapshots being a little boy ]
[ Photography got serious in 1984, when I bought my first SLR: the Canon AE-1 program ]
[ In 1988 I went -thanks to the support of my parents- to the Academy of Photography, The Hague ]
[ Did freelance photowork, but felt more for graphic design and playing in a band ]
[ Released my first CD with my band Beschuit in 1991 ]
[ Completed my study Photography in 1992 ]
[ Started at the Audiovisual Centre of the VU University, Amsterdam, department Photography in 1995. My introduction to computers and Photoshop ]
[ 1997: began developing websites, the first one for my band Godworst ]
[ Founded DigiDaan™ in 2000. My own company. Photography and webbuilding, with the emphasis on the last in the beginning, but in 2001, with the Canon EOS D30, my first digital SLR, things changed... (yes, I still worked with the AE-1 program till then) ]
[ 2001: Made ChannelMixtures for realistic Black and White available (for free) on this site ]
[ Started DDDD (DigiDaan's Daily D30 Dose) in august 2001. Every day a new photo at the DigiDaan website ]
[ Authorized Adobe Photoshop prerelease-tester since 2002 ]
[ 2002: DDDD Aug2001-Aug2002, 104 pages full-color hardcover photobook of the first year Daily Doses. Two languages, limited edition ]
[ 2003: DDDD volume 2 Aug2002-Aug2003, 380 pages full-color hardcover photobook of the second year Daily Doses. In Dutch, limited edition ]
[ After 2 full years of Daily Doses I continued the DigiDaan's Doses on a random Dose-base ]
[ 2003: Started to publish all my new photography as Photoseries: webgalleries for easy viewing with search and order functions ]
[ 2004: Made an improved Black and White action based on Adjustment Layers available (for free) on this site ]
[ 2005: Due tot the success of DigiDaan I decided to get fully self-employed and quit my parttime job at the VU ]
[ 2006: Stopped webbuilding to focus purely on photography ]
